Since the "plastic ban", many catering industries have banned the use of plastic straws and replaced them with paper straws. However, more than a year has passed, and now paper straws are hard to see. What happened?

The reason is that in addition to the poor experience and a strange smell, paper straws are unacceptable to many people. Some paper straw products have problems such as excessive potassium permanganate consumption and unqualified temperature resistance. So many stores do not use paper straws and turn to PLA straws or stone paper straws. PLA straws are also called polylactic acid straws. They use starch extracted from plants such as corn, wheat, and cassava as raw materials, and are fully biodegradable like stone paper.
