Record numbers of plastic particles on beaches prompt environmental groups to call for stricter laws

The number of plastic particles on the beach has hit a new record. According to a British Sky News report on December 3, recently, an environmental charity organization organized the "Global Plastic Particle Search" campaign, searching for plastic particles in 317 locations in 23 countries around the world. People found plastic particles in 90% of the searched places, and the only country where plastic particles were not found was Indonesia.

In addition, it was also found that the number of plastic particles on the beach hit a new record. Plastic particles, the basic building blocks for the production of plastic products, are often accidentally released into the environment during factory processing and goods transport, and end up in the sea. These plastic particles absorb chemical pollutants, which can then be ingested by wildlife, causing fatal harm to wildlife.

Facing the large amount of plastic particles on the beach, environmental protection organizations are very worried. They are calling on countries to introduce stricter laws to classify plastic particles as marine pollutants and strictly regulate the disposal and transportation of plastic particles.
